02/20/10: MSA National Central Zone Conference 2010
b-ismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm
In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Asalamu Alaykum,
Some of the most defining decisions we make are decisions related to time. With whom you spend your time with, what are the things you do with your time, what are some things you accomplish with your time -- these are all decisions that we constantly make.
Making a decision to come to this year's MSA National Central Zone Conference is indeed a great use of your time. It is a conscious decision to pursue the sacred religious knowledge. It is essentially an investment in your soul, in this life, and in the next life.
Click on "conference" for more information! Make your decision. What are you going to choose to do with your time?
Jazakallahukhayr,
WaSalaamu Alaykum

07/03/09: Welcome from your new Central Zone USA Rep!
Assalamualaikum Central Zone USA,
My name is Iman Sediqe and it is with great honor and pleasure that I introduce myself as your MSA National Central Zone Representative USA for 2009-2010. This past year has been a productive year for the Central zone, reviving the hype and bringing Central zone to its prime, and insha'Allah I hope to carry on this trend. With various upcoming programs like the Continental Conference in Washington D.C., COMPASS Training Programs, amazing projects such as the fast-a-thon, project downtown, the peace not prejudice campaign, and the annual Central Zonal conference, I am very excited for all that lies ahead.
MSA National serves to assist MSA's across the nation, spreading their innovations across the country and creating a support network to expand the strength and work of MSA's by mobilizing a connection between them throughout the USA and Canada. This can only be made possible by your contributions, support, and help. Alhamdulillah, the Central Zone is the largest zone in MSA national with some of the oldest and historically most active MSA's in North America. If you're interested in taking the vigor from the local level and mobilizing it nationally by joining the zonal committee, please email me at .
InshAllah we can have a very productive year and continue to take the Central Zone to the next level, enriching the MSA experience for students across the nation. Please feel free to contact me at any time throughout the year and inshAllah we can work to learn from one another and help enrich your local MSA and MSA national as well.
I look forward to working with and meeting many of you at this year's Continental Conference in Washington D.C. and throughout the year!
JazakAllah khair,
Iman Sediqe

Assalamualaikum!!
Welcome to another great year with the MSA. It's been an honor and a privilege to get elected to continue as Zonal Representative for the upcoming 2008-09 school year. There are a lot of great ideas we would like to initiate and progress on for the upcoming year. I make dua that it is a fruitful year and that we can connect more students together and help empower and motivate Muslim students to continue doing the great things that they do.
To kick off the new term, the Lone Star Council, Texas' council , which is a part of MSA National, hosted the 2008 ISNA South Central Conference in Houston Texas.
The program featured a College Fair, a Career Fair for MSA and high school students and a great executive training track with the MSA COMPASS training team. The conference also featured main session discussions with Dr. Ingrid Mattson, Dr. Muneer Fareed, and Dr. Abdulhakim Jackson.
The sessions with our esteemed scholars were all filled to capacity masha'Allah. Likewise, the COMPASS training sessions were extremely effective with sessions such as the Executive Roundtable connecting leaders from all over Texas and regions such as Louisiana and New Mexico.
Below are some photos from the event, to give you a glimpse of the great activities of the weekend. Never underestimate southern hospitality, guests and attendees alike were impressed and excited by the hospitality and greatness of the Texas MSAers, who not only ran their own conference but assisted ISNA with many of their functions as well.
Many thanks to Fariha Tayyib and Nawal Elnashar for all their hard work. These two conference chairs and their conference team put in incredible effort to allow this conference to happen. Keep them in your duas please.
There are many great things coming up with the Central Zone, so keep posted for more!

03/31/08: Central Zone Conference a Success!
Thank you to all the speakers, volunteers, and attendees who made the MSA National 2008 Central Zone Conference a success!
With over 200 students representing nearly 30 MSAs, the attendees participated in a dynamic program and unique activities, including Action Hour to paint a children's center, a MSA networking session, skill building workshops, and a film screening about the civil rights issues surrounding the Dr. Sami Al-Arian case.
"I've never been to a Zonal Conference before," said one attendee. "But this program addressed all the issues that have been on my mind lately."
A special thanks to UMSL and SLU MSAs, who under the leadership of Br. Danish Adil worked tirelessly to organize the conference.
